Pitra Dosh Pooja (Standard)

   Sankalp and Purification

   The devotee takes a Sankalp (vow) specifying the names of ancestors and the intention to resolve Pitra Dosh, followed by self-purification and sanctification of the puja space.

   Ganesh Puja and Matrika Puja

   Initial prayers are offered to Lord Ganesha for obstacle removal and to the Matrikas (divine mothers) for their blessings and protection.

   Pitra Tarpan and Shraddha Rituals

   Offerings of water, black sesame seeds, barley, and other sacred items are made to the ancestors (Pitra Tarpan), followed by Shraddha rituals to provide peace and sustenance to their souls.

   Pind Daan (Symbolic)

   Symbolic Pind Daan (rice balls) are offered, representing nourishment for the ancestors, conducted with specific mantras.

   Pitra Dosh Nivaran Mantra Japa and Havan

   Chanting of specific Pitra Dosh Nivaran Mantras and a fire ritual (Havan) with offerings to pacify the ancestors and remove the dosha.

   Brahmin Bhojan and Donations

   Food is offered to Brahmins, and donations are made to them or to the needy, representing offerings to the ancestors and seeking their blessings.

   Aarti and Prasad Distribution

   The puja concludes with an Aarti and distribution of sanctified Prasad.
