A highly auspicious pooja performed with 108 self-made clay Shivlings. Fulfills desires, removes deep-rooted karmic blocks, and bestows Lord Shiva's immense blessings for prosperity and peace.
Prarthiv Shivling Pooja involves the worship of Shiva Lingams meticulously crafted from sacred earth (clay). It is believed that worshipping a Shivling made by one's own hands or with sincere devotion brings immense spiritual merit and fulfills desires. Performing this puja with 108 such Shivlings is considered highly auspicious and powerful, as each Shivling represents a divine aspect. This ritual is particularly potent for removing deep-rooted karmic blocks, pacifying planetary doshas, attaining Moksha (liberation), and inviting prosperity, peace, and protection from Lord Shiva.
Pure clay is collected, purified, and 108 small Shivlings are meticulously crafted by hand while chanting sacred mantras, ensuring each one is imbued with divine energy.
The devotee takes a Sankalp, stating the purpose of the puja. Lord Shiva and other deities are invoked into the Prarthiv Shivlings.
Each of the 108 Prarthiv Shivlings is individually bathed with sacred substances like milk, water, honey, ghee, curd, and sugarcane juice, along with the chanting of Shiva mantras (e.g., Om Namah Shivaya).
Flowers, Bel Patra (Bilva leaves), Akshat, sandalwood paste, and other traditional offerings are made to each Shivling.
Further chanting of Shiva Moola Mantras is performed. A small Havan may also be conducted with offerings to intensify the puja's effects.
After the puja, the clay Shivlings are reverently immersed in a clean body of water (river, pond), symbolizing the return of the divine energy to its source and offering liberation to the devotee.
The puja concludes with a ceremonial Aarti and distribution of sanctified Prasad.
Performing this puja during these periods enhances its spiritual potency.
