Rudrabhishek (Standard)

   Sankalp and Purification

   The ritual begins with the devotee taking a Sankalp (vow) for the purpose of the Abhishekam, followed by purification rituals (Punya Vachan).

   Ganesh Puja and Navagraha Puja

   Initial prayers are offered to Lord Ganesha for obstacle removal, and to the Navagrahas (nine planets) for balancing planetary influences.

   Shiva Lingam Abhishekam

   The Shiva Lingam is bathed with various sacred liquids one by one: water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugarcane juice, sandal paste, and Bhasma, while chanting the Rudra Suktam and other Shiva mantras.

   Alankaram and Archana

   After Abhishekam, the Lingam is adorned (Alankaram) with flowers, Bel Patra (Bilva leaves), and sacred threads. Archana (offering of flowers with names of Shiva) is then performed.

   Mantra Japa and Havan

   Chanting of Shiva Moola Mantra or Mahamrityunjay Mantra is done, followed by a small Havan (fire ritual) with offerings to Lord Shiva.

   Aarti and Prasad Distribution

   The puja concludes with a ceremonial Aarti (waving of lamps) and distribution of the sanctified Prasad to all devotees.
